Reveal Your Best Skin with MicroLaserPeel® by Dr. Korman

When these imperfections accumulate, however, they may obscure a person’s appearance. The story of one’s skin often needs help being told, and Dr. Joshua Korman is the perfect narrator.  With three convenient locations in San Jose, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Mountain View, Dr. Korman serves his California communities with pride. To learn about the benefits of a MicroLaserPeel® treatment in NorCal, please contact our office.

What Is The Microlaser Peel?

The MicroLaserPeel is an innovative use of lasers to resurface the skin, removing the dead layers and blending the discoloration of age spots to smooth the skin. The state-of-the-art lasers used by Dr. Korman allow for healthy, vibrant skin to flourish. Even though the treatment sessions only last approximately 45 minutes, the results are enduring. Skin continues to improve for about 6 months as collagen production increases. Mountain View patients love the improved texture of the skin after their MicroLaserPeel.

Dr. Korman commonly recommends the MicroLaserPeel to patients who suffer from acne scarring, uneven pigmentation, sun damage and wrinkles. Skin feels smoother and tighter after this procedure, which uses a Sciton® laser system to target the outermost layers of the skin and program a specific plan for the individual. Mountain View patients love working with Dr. Korman to create a treatment specifically for their skin with the MicroLaserPeel. His office usually recommends that the MicroLaserPeel® treatment is performed every 4 to 6 weeks, until optimum results are met.

Preparation And Procedure

As part of Dr. Korman’s consultation protocols, he and his associates compile detailed instructions to prepare patients for their upcoming procedure(s). If the MicroLaserPeel is included in a scheduled treatment session, Dr. Korman will explain the specific preparations integral to a safe and successful process. In general, patients are advised to quit smoking for the general maintenance of their skin and circulatory health. They may also be asked to stop taking certain medications or supplements in the weeks leading up to a MicroLaserPeel treatment. On the day of a MicroLaserPeel session, the patient will meet with their attending clinician to discuss the overall procedure. Once all of the details are agreed upon, the MicroLaserPeel treatment can proceed. Patients may request a numbing topical cream to mitigate discomfort.

The MicroLaserPeel device targets the epidermis, and can penetrate anywhere from 10 microns to 50 microns below the surface of the skin. Dr. Korman can suggest which specific depth to administer, based on a patient’s unique needs and desires. Acne scars, for example, require a different approach than age spots. The MicroLaserPeel technology is extremely adaptive, and can be gauged to the microscopic specifications of each patient based on his or her requests. Even though MicroLaserPeel is a superficial resurfacing procedure, its benefits delve deeper than the epidermis. Collagen and elastin are stimulated by the MicroLaserPeel® process, and react along the dermis as a result of the procedure. This creates a tighter, healthier sheen for the skin, proving that beauty is more than skin deep.

Healthy Recovery

Dr. Korman will recommend the proper skincare products to facilitate a happy, healthy recovery. This will most likely consist of an ointment for the first 24-48 hours, followed by a moisturizing regimen in the ensuing weeks. The relative depth of a MicroLaserPeel treatment corresponds to the amount of downtime that will follow. Recipients may be back to work as soon as two days after a session, or it may take four days or more to resume regular daily activities. Patients are encouraged not to exert themselves or to rush the recovery process. Great results are worth the wait.

Amazing Results

Safety and satisfaction are the twin pillars of Dr. Korman’s healthcare philosophy. He will only recommend the transformative MicroLaserPeel procedure for those with the appropriate skin tone and overall wellness profile. One glimpse of our glowing reviews illustrates how committed we are to client satisfaction. Dr. Korman is humbled by his patients’ kind words and he vows to continue providing 5-star service to the communities of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Mountain View, and San Jose, California.

Complementary And Alternative Facial Procedures

Skin care is not a “one size fits all” endeavor. Everyone has a different texture and pallor, so each patient deserves focused attention and varied options. The MicroLaserPeel device can deliver transcendent results, stripping away imperfections to reveal an even, shimmering complexion. Dr. Korman offers other approaches, however, if a client requires additional or alternative treatments to address their needs.

Microneedling

Elastin and collagen are the building blocks of healthy skin. As an individual ages, their levels of these materials decrease. By stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, Dr. Korman ushers in a new day of replenishment and rejuvenation. Microneedling creates tiny punctures in the epidermis, triggering a rush of healing and regeneration.

Botox

Every time a person winks, smiles, and laughs, the face performs a bevy of fine muscular contractions to express its requisite emotions. These contractions pull at the skin, creating wrinkles over time. Persistent muscle movement can lead to deep creases that are difficult to manage, but Botox addresses the root cause of the wrinkling process. Botox is a neuromodulator, which means it disrupts the chemical signals responsible for fine muscular contractions. When muscles are relaxed, so is the creasing along the skin. Dr. Korman can determine if Botox is right for your skincare needs.

Juvederm

Another factor that contributes to fine lines is the breakdown of skin’s underlying support system. As skin ages, it hangs away from the connective muscles and tissues to which it is connected. Gaps arise below the surface, turning skin into a deflated husk of its former glory. Dermal fillers, like Juvederm, can plump the spaces beneath the skin. By adding volume to a targeted area, Juvederm smooths wrinkles from within.

Improvement is a holistic pursuit. Dr. Korman may suggest one or more of the aforementioned procedures to complement a patient’s MicroLaserPeel treatment. To determine the best approach for your needs, please contact our offices.
