    What Will The Treatment Entail?

    The treatment process begins with a detailed consultation, during which Dr. Korman and his team will take preoperative photographs for reference. On the day of your non-surgical rhinoplasty, the skin is cleansed and numbed with a topical anesthetic. To help guide the injection process, the appropriate markings on the nose will be created using a surgical pen. The nose will then be injected with dermal fillers according to your carefully crafted treatment plan.

    Is There Any Downtime After Liquid Rhinoplasty?

    Since a liquid rhinoplasty is non-surgical and non-invasive, you can expect to immediately resume your regular activities after your session. In fact, many patients come into the office over their lunch breaks, knowing that non-surgical rhinoplasty can be performed quickly and easily. Patients do typically encounter minor side effects after the treatment, including mild swelling and redness at the injection points. However, these symptoms quickly abate, usually within a matter of hours or by the next day. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for at least 2 days after treatment.     The most popular type of injectables used for a non-surgical nose job are hyaluronic acid-based fillers, such as Restylane or Juvederm. One of the benefits of using HA-based fillers is that your results can be reversed using specially formulated enzymes. With other types of fillers, patients typically have to wait until the filler compounds dissolve or are metabolized by the body, which can take months.

    How Long Does The Liquid Rhinoplasty Procedure Take?

    It can take up to 20 minutes for the topical anesthetic to take effect. After that, it may take about 15 minutes to perform the nasal reshaping portion of the treatment.

    Are There Any Side Effects?

    Mild bruising, swelling, and tenderness can occur after a liquid rhinoplasty, localized at the injection sites. The treated areas may also feel tight. These side effects typically last anywhere from a few hours to a few days and are no cause for alarm.

    Does Liquid Rhinoplasty Hurt?

    Because each person has their own unique pain threshold, the amount of discomfort experienced with a liquid rhinoplasty is relative. In general, the skin is numbed prior to the injections, which helps to reduce any potential discomfort. Many fillers also contain built-in lidocaine, a numbing agent. Overall, the procedure is considered quite manageable for patients pain-wise, especially when compared to a surgical rhinoplasty.
